Bali Trip-Day 3

30th January 2009

To the beach

Not so nice sand but nice view

Next we head  to the ancient Mengawi Royal Family's Taman Ayun Temple. It's a place where the once royal family of Bali come to worship their God. It's a super huge garden complex from the looks of it.

Not long after that, we went to lunch, and boy was the view spectacular.

Literally our restaurant was perched at the foothills overlooking the mountain as you can see in this particular picture

Those are not chalets or houses, it is a place where you can go and meditate.

Next up the famous Beratan Lake Temple

My sister doing the pose.

The sampans that you can use to paddle around the lake.We didn't go(Scary though because there are not lifejackets)

The boat

the parents

The Beratan mountain overlooking the temple

Nice orchid

Along the way, we saw at artist drawing a potrait of a little girl. (How adorable is that little girl)

Nice fig trees along the pathway

Next up is Tanah Lot Temple

Tanah Lot temple which is perched on a rocky outcrop facing the sea, only accessible during lowtide.

Some crazy surfer dude jumping of the rock cliff

When actually he can take the steep stairs down to the beach

the majestic cliff of the west coast of Bali

More and more temples and sites to be scene

Would love to, but I bet it's expensive and the weather is damn hot to eat under.

The next day we woke up very early to catch our flight to Kuala Lumpur at 6am in the morning.

So all in all Bali is an awesome place to be at, except for the mad traffic. The trip was spent mostly on the road.Food is easy to consume, not like their counterparts in Thailand. Other than that, it was enjoyable and fun at the same time. I would definately want to go back to Bali again. (This time for a massage)

That ends my entry on my recent Bali trip
