smile more policy

I was walking towards a fruit stall today and a woman pass right across me from the atm machine.

She was just oozing this aura of being worried, or either being mad, nervous and tired at the same time. What she portrayed on her face changes my mood too. It made me irritated and want to punch her in the face kinda feeling.
I shall make it a point from this day on to smile no matter what the circumstances are. I know now wiaht that with that  kind grumpy sour puss face of hers it will effect the people also that is around me.

Cinema alone time

When people ask me out for a movie, I usually tell them that I had watched the movie before. When they ask me who I watched the movie with, I usually reply to them, " I usually watched a movie alone".

To which they replied, " Why so anti social one???".

Some reasons why watching movies at the cinema alone is better then with some company of friends.
  • watching with a group can be taxing at times. They will come a time when choosing a movie can be a hassle. So you will ended watching the movie even though you don't want to watch the movie at the first place, because it was chosen by the majority in the group. It sucks.
  • when you watched a movie alone. You get the awesome privilege of watching premier screening of a movie.
  • You wouldn't need to cancel a watching a show versus when in a group. E.g. You have a to cancel watching a movie when you get there because it is known after that there is no more seats left for a big group of people.

World's uglist dog?

One comment sums it all up:
One of the things I adore about our pets is: They may be ugly, but they don't know it nor do they care. I wish people were the same way.

Jason Mraz: Tour is a four letter word 2012

Thanks Mix.fm for giving me the pair of free tickets.

Mr Fad my concert partner in crime.

The crowd before the show.

#12 Muzik Jason Mraz Pukau Peminat Di Stadium Merdeka

#04 Muzik Jason Mraz Pukau Peminat Di Stadium Merdeka

This is my second concert. Thanks to Mix.fm for giving out tickets for show. This is Jason Mraz second tour after his first back in 2009 at Stadium Negara.
Overall it was a show with a longer set of song list. A mix of songs from Waiting for my rocket to come, Mr.A-z, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal things and his current album Love is a four letter Word we performed throughout the 2 hour plus show.
One thing I noticed that  was missing from the show is Toca Rivera, the fun loving, burly bongo player, who usually backs up Jason on most of his shows. Because of that I felt that the energy was a little less than the previous show which had Toca in it.( It's rumoured that he is doing his own project at the moment(
Overall, Jason is a class act, with a consistent and strong vocals throughout his set-list of songs. The sound system employed that day also is much better then the one when he performed at Stadium Negara. He sounded more clearer. What I love about him is his fun loving energy, and that night he didn't disappoint me and the rest that was there that night.

Highlight of the show:
  • Everyone giving high fives and low ones during dynamo of volition
  • The sing a long to You and I both, The Remedy( I won't worry), and I'm Yours.
  • A southern style preaching from Jason about love
  • Sang operatically on Mr Curiosity. His voice was seriously insane when he sang it.
  • Asking kids to thank their fathers for buying them tickets to watch his song. Dedicate the song Frank D. Fixer to all dads. Poignant moment.

Movie Review: Madagascar 3, Europe most wanted

The last time we saw Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman there were at Africa. The penguins left them for Monoco for the life and being rich and famous. Hating the mundane life of Africa, Alex coaxed the rest of the gang to go to Monoco and to kidnap the penguins so that they can fly them back to New York Zoo.
They manage to locate the penguins, but as usual, they created chaos. This roused the interest of  diabolical, and coldblooded Captain  Chantel DuBois of Animal Control who wants Alex's head for her own collection. To avoid being killed, the gang decides to blend in with a circus troupe to run away from Dubois, with hilarious consequences.
Overall when watching the movie, I enjoyed it very much and had a hard time containing my funny bones. The animation was beautifully done. Most importantly, the funny and naughty antics of the characters are still intact. You will definitely will have a cracker lacking good time..

Random facts: the Rubber Duck

File:Rubber Duck.jpg

It is not known exactly when the first rubber ducks were made, but it is thought to have coincided with the development of the rubber industry in the early 19th century. The first patent related to a floating rubber duck was filed in 1886. These early ducks were crudely shaped out of hard rubber. After World War II, the patents started to resemble the modern yellow ducks that people are used to seeing today.

The first rubber ducks were made of hard rubber that did not float very well. Most modern rubber ducks are made from plastic that is melted down and poured into a duck-shaped mold. A small hole is left in the bottom of the duck so air can pass through to make a squeaking sound.

"Rubber Duckie" Song
In 1970, the "Rubber Duckie" song was performed by Ernie on Sesame Street. The song, written by Jeff Moss, was included on the Sesame Street album released that year. It stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine weeks, peaking at No. 16. This sudden mainstream popularity boosted the sales of rubber ducks in the early 1970s.

Collectibles
Rubber ducks have become a collector's item for some hobbyists. No longer limited to the simple yellow duck, collectors can purchase rubber ducks in almost any color or costume. Some of the collectible items include holiday-themed rubber ducks, neon ducks that glow in the dark, ducks designed to look like celebrities, and rubber ducks sold to raise money for charity.

Rubber Duck Races
The popularity of the rubber ducks has led to the creation of races. Many of these events are used to raise money for charity, such as the annual Halifax Duck Derby in Canada. The longest-running rubber duck race in the United States is held in Cincinnati, Ohio, to raise funds for the Freestore Foodbank. It has been held every year since 1994 and is expected to have more than 85,000 ducks entered in the 2009 event.

blast from the past: You get what you give

Just did it

I just came back from an excursion from the night market around my neighbourhood.I was doing my normal routine at the night market, passing through the stalls, then came along this one burly chinese man with a very lighthearted t-shirt.

He was wearing this exact some t-shirt as like picture below:
[nike-just-did-it.jpg]

What tickled my funny bones is that, he was pushing a stroller with a baby in it, and  with what I presume was his wife by his side.

I was giggling in my heart all right!! You really did it buddy!!!lol

Cheeky, suggestive and true to the point all at once.

petai Zawngṭah

Had a plate of nasi lemak for dinner yesterday.

File:Parkia speciosa.JPG
This is how petai a.k.a stink beans look like.

I used to hate petai. I slowly learn to love them, when I visited this orang Asli settlement at the foothills of Cameron Highlands a few years back. I think it was because the beans were really freshly plucked out right  off the natural forest. Since then I love petai.
Beware though. It can cause you flatulence.

looms with the shrooms

I was on my way to dinner two days ago, when I saw something white sticking out from the grassy outdoor from my house.

The mushrooms were literally sticking out with their distinctive narrow stems and with  flat caps on the stems.

It was a beautiful eyesore nevertheless, I had to take some pictures of it.

Sadly, when I got back from dinner, the shrooms were crushed by cars that were parking on the spot where they grow.
