the circulatory gas

A mosquito fogging occur

and your whole house looks like this:
( and no, it wasn't the icy cold  fog that greeted me. In fact it was the eye tearing, poison filled gas that did)

and you ought to run out and get back in after the gas circulates around the house and flows out from house right????!!???

No, I didn't.

I was literally a smart ass, and went Arab for a good 10 or 15 minutes grabbing my bath towel and wrapping it around my face and looking like this,

in the bathroom..with my eyes all tearing up.

thank God I didn't die....like seriously!!

the stupid things young people like me do, in such a dire situation such as that....lol

Christmas Miracle...

By SUSAN DONALDSON JAMES | Good Morning America

Sam Schmid, a 21-year-old college student from Arizona, astounded doctors by recovering from traumatic brain injuries just hours before being readied to be an organ donor. (Barrow Neurological Institute)

Sam Schmid, an Arizona college student believed to be brain dead and poised to be an organ donor, miraculously recovered just hours before doctors were considering taking him off life support.
Schmid, a junior and business major at the University of Arizona, was critically wounded in an Oct. 19 five-car accident in Tucson.
The 21-year-old's brain injuries were so severe that the local hospital could not treat him. He was airlifted to the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Phoenix, where specialists performed surgery for a life-threatening aneurysm.
As hospital officials began palliative care and broached the subject of organ donation with his family, Schmid began to respond, holding up two fingers on command. Today he is walking with the aid of a walker, and his speech, although slow, has improved.
Doctors say he will likely have a complete recovery. He even hopes to get a day pass from the hospital to celebrate the holidays with his large extended family.
"Nobody could ever give me a better Christmas present than this -- ever, ever, ever," said his mother, Susan Regan, who is vice-president of the insurance company Lovitt-Touche.
"I tell everyone, if they want to call it a modern-day miracle, this is a miracle," said Regan, 59, and a Catholic. "I have friends who are atheists who have called me and said, 'I am going back to church.'"
Schmid's doctor, renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Robert Spetzler, agreed that his recovery was miraculous.
"I am dumb-founded with his incredible recovery in such a short time," said Spetzler. "His recovery was really remarkable considering the extent of his lethal injuries."
Hospital officials are crediting Spetzler with having a "hunch" that despite an initially dire prognosis, the young man would make it. But he said it was "reasonable" for others to consider withdrawing the patient from life support.
"It looked like all the odds were stacked against him," said Spetzler, who has performed more than 6,000 such surgeries and trained the doctor who operated on Congressman Gabrielle Giffords after she was shot at the beginning of this year.
During surgery, Spetzler clipped the balloonlike aneurysm in the blood vessel -- "as if I were patching a tire," a procedure that eventually worked.
For days Schmid didn't seem to be responding, but what puzzled his doctor was that he did not see fatal injuries on the MRI scan. So he decided to keep Schmid on life support longer.
"There was plenty wrong -- he had a hemorrhage, an aneurysm and a stroke from the part of the aneurysm," Spetzler said. "But he didn't have a blood clot in the most vital part of his brain, which we know he can't recover from. And he didn't have a massive stroke that would predict no chance of a useful existence."
So while the family was given a realistic picture of Schmid's poor chances for survival, Spetzler ordered one more MRI to see if the critical areas of the brain had turned dark, indicating brain death.
"If not, we would hang on and keep him on support," he said. "But I didn't want to give the family false hope."
Schmid's mother said no one "specifically" asked if her son would be a donor, but they "subtly talk to you about quality of life."
"At some point, I knew we had to make some sort of decision, and I kept praying," said Regan.
The MRI came back with encouraging news during the day and by evening Schmid "inexplicably" followed the doctors' commands, holding up two fingers.
"It was like fireworks all going off at the same time," said Spetzler.
Today, Schmid -- his speech clear and sounding upbeat -- told ABCNews.com, "I feel fine. I'm in a wheelchair, but I am getting lots of help."

Sam Schmid Has No Memory of the Accident
He said he remembers nothing of the accident nor coming around after being in an induced coma. "It wasn't until I woke up in rehab," he said. "But they told me about afterwards."
Schmid was returning from coaching basketball at his former Catholic school when a van swerved into his lane. The Jeep in which he was riding went airborne, hit a light pole and landed on its side.
Schmid's left hand and both of his femurs broke and required surgery. But the worst were the traumatic head injuries, which were complex and nearly always fatal.
All those involved say the support that Schmid got from family and friends -- and especially the care at Barrow -- may have made the difference. His brother John, a 24-year-old IT specialist, took a leave of absence from his job in Chicago to be at his brother's bedside.
Family flew in from around the country, and Delta Chi fraternity brothers made regular visits, even creating a mural for their friend.
"It seems like we were being led down a path to plan for the worst and that things were not going to work out," said John Schmid. "The miracle, to put it bluntly, was that in a matter of seven days, we went from organ donation to rehab. What a roller coaster it was."
He said his brother's speech is slow, but he understands what others are saying. Sam Schmid's athleticism -- as a basketball coach and snowboard instructor -- probably helped, he said.
"Honestly, I am at a loss for words," said John Schmid. "I am just so proud of Sam. He's got a strong constitution and he's very determined. But it's been quite an eye-opener for me -- a real learning curve. You can't take anything for granted."
Sam Schmid's surgeon agrees.
"You get incredible highs when you save someone facing neurological devastation or death," said Spetzler. "That is counter-pointed by the incredible lows when you fail to help someone."
"In a way, his recovery was truly miraculous," he said. "It's a great Christmas story."
Ever the scientist, Spetzler wasn't willing to speculate what a comatose patient hears. But he admits, "There are so many things we don't understand about the brain and what happens at the time someone is near death."
"The whole family was at his side during the day and at night hovering over him, then to see there was a chance after being ready to let go," he said. "But I am very much a big believer that positive thoughts and positive energy in a room can only help."

van blown up

a van rammed into the electrical pole and caught on fire.

the fumes smelt horrible and the downed electrical pole was really a cause for concern. The driver of the van was okay though. The firemen could have come faster though.

THE dream

I remember this dream like it was yesterday, and if you were to ask me what dream do I remember the most, it's this particular one.
Ogy Ahmad Daud(wikipedia)

This was when I was highschool student and it was during an afternoon nap. It was a news room setting and she was the weather girl. She was litterally going about forecasting the weather for the day after and I clearly remember her telling me or everyone that is going to rain the next day.
The problem is, it never rain. It was the weirdest dream I ever had though.

one week visitation

*May contain graphic images. Adult supervision advice.*
Last Monday, I woke up with high fever before going to class.
It was to the general hospital for treatment
I had rashes prior to the high fever

Intravenous drip.
up close.

So I went back as asked by the doctor. The fever didn't subside so I went back to the hospital and I decided to stay in the ward and on Tuesday morning I was admitted to the dengue ward.
the bloody hospital bed. The doctor seem to be having a hard time drawing out blood from my arm.
the best and some say the only way to treat dengue is to consume lots of fluid.

fellow patients
medication for the rashes
of charts and descriptions
the bed for 8 days.

I never get sick easily and to be that long in the  hospital was really a new experience for me. At some days I was really feeling restless and helpless.

scaling those molars

A Dentist and her Dental assistantImage via Wikipedia

Picture of a scaling procedure.

I did my normal visit to the dentist this afternoon but this time it is at a government dentist clinic. I sign up as it was my first visit there and everything was normal til it was my turn at the chair.

I was okay with  no soothing music at the background. I am okay with the not so plush seat of the dentist chair. I was totally okay with dodgy looking dental space that I went into. I was just not ready for one thing when  I went walk in.

I had a dentist tending to my teeth scaling but I do not have an assistant to help me with the suction thingy as shown in the picture(the lady on the right. I was literally holding *insert proper name* the suction thingy on my own. Left hand holding that instrument while the dentist was scaling away my cavities/calculas(on my right)..sitting down while water was splashed across my face throughout.

Conclusion:

  • Never had to hold the suction thingy when I visited the dentist before and I guess I am to  pampered and bless  with the services given to me at the private dentist clinic. Had a culture shock ...hrmmm a little bit?
  • I am so  to used to people doing that for me. On the bright side, I've got cleaner set of teeth.
  • It's super duper cheaper than a private one(Like D'oh!)
  • At the end of the day, you will get the same amount of result whether you are doing it in a private clinic or a government one.

the ice-cream incident: the million dolar question

I was heading to this bakery after having my lunch at this row of foodcourts at Gajah Berang,
I was inside the bakery, picking my choices of bread and scones and all and head to the counter for payment like any normal customer when a sudden question took me by surprise and literally speechless.

Me: Eh aunty do you still sell the ice-cream

Aunty behind the counter: Yeah we still selling. Are you eating in or are you packing?

Me: Oh ..just pack aunty.....vanilla flavour ar aunty.

Aunty behind the counter: *starts punching in numbers at the cash register* ...after it is done, she proceeds by filling the ice-cream cone with vanilla ice-cream....

Gets back to the counter and before she passed me the ice-cream, she proceeds with the million dollar question:

Aunty: Eh boy!!???! You not scare get fat ar eating that???

Me: *________________________________*

*continue smiling at the aunty while still not being able to give her an answer*..gets the ice-cream and plastic bag full of buns and all, hands her the cash and quickly finds exit.

laughing after exiting the bakery....still speechless......

lady luck struck twice

I thought it is going to be a decent morning with a kick ass rain to boot. I never know something that had happen to me before happened again this morning.
The roof decided to leak
All I could do to contain the water was to put pails on my bed at let the rain water flow

Lets see how much water I manage to collect.
This is enough for brushing your teeth and washing up your face and washing your hands
This is enough for you to wash your hands. Ahahahah

this happened to me before at the old house I stayed at Taman Dahlia. What are the odds for it to happen again huh?. After this incident, I wonder if the money I have paid for this room is worth it or not?

phone lake story

English translation:
Today is the day that I have waited for so long. This is because of one activity which is called kayaking. When the time arrived for me to go kayaking, I was very excited to have this opportunity to go kayaking(this is my first time that I am kayaking). So when it's time for me to step into the kayak, something unexpected happen. When I put my foot into the boat I actually cause the boat to drif farther away. Even before I put my other foot into the kayak, I was in a very unstable position and at that moment I knew I will be fall into the lake and I did.
I am thankful that the water in the lake is not contaminated and smelly. I am also thankful that the depth of the lake wasn't that deep when I went in, if not I will be wet all over. With the help of the people that is in charge of the activities at the lake there, I manage to get out from the lake safely. I am really thankful.
I suspected something is wrong when one of the person ask me this question,"Did you left anything inside your pocket", it was that time that I panicked and I feel the pockets around my pants. I was overwhelm when I found out that I forgot to take out my handphone from my short pants. This make me a little bit panick. "How are those people that want to contact me for a meeting, for lunch, or they called me because it was an emergancy?
I don't know what to do actually. For now I need borrow someone's used handphone for a couple of weeks. I also need to bring my phone to a shop to be fix, if only that is possible.
So for now, you can leave a message on my email, ym, msn or even in facebook(mukabuku). Sorry for this inconveniences
